Max was great to work with!

I worked with Max and 2 other nationally recognized banks to get a mortgage. Max was the most responsive and crafted the best deal. As we moved through the process to provide all the credit and financial history docs, Max and his team were very helpful and responsive. Always easy to talk directly with.
Pros: Easy, responsive, good communication.
Moving to Austin and its face paced realty market was challenging from the beginning.

Houses were moving faster than our realtor s car down Mopac. We did find a nice house in central Austin and got our offer in its first day on the market. Max one of the reasons they accepted our offer over several others was the reputation of Prime Lending in Max s office. Ultimately, everything went great from escrow to close.
My real estate agent referred me to Max and he was on it the entire time.

Three hours later, my final approval was rescinded. They were quite apologetic. Turns out an underwriter on their team had lived in Austin years before and was positive that nothing in east Austin was worth what I was paying (despite the fact that the seller, a friend, was cutting me a huge break!). Pay no mind to the fact that they had already gotten me to cash out my retirement account with the city, sell my car and call in every favor owed. I was out of luck and out of time–the contract was expiring. I frantically searched around and found the Leaman Team. After talking to Max for an hour he called the seller and explained that he needs an extra few weeks and that he could make the transaction happen. He did it. I’m in the home I’ve adored since it was built in 2008 and I’m sending everyone who needs lending power his way. If you don’t like risk–go with Max.

My realtor, Jane Amschwand, recommended Jori and it was a no brainer to go with her. She walked me through my options, made it super simple and easy to get all the right documents together to get approved, and then speedily churned out the pre-approval letters until I finally got a house I love in this crazy Austin market. Nothing about buying a house was simple, but everything about my financing was, I felt super comfortable going in to close, and I would use Jori again in a heartbeat (though I sincerely hope not to be buying a house again any time soon!).

She communicated with me throughout the process and pushed things along. I’ve purchased a few investment properties in Houston in the past year and have dealt with 4 different lenders in that time. The Leaman Team is by far the best. They knew how to deal with investment property financing and didn’t give me the runaround with endless requests for documentation. We closed the cash-out refi right on time and they held their costs to exactly what they stated in their good-faith estimate.

The first company we went with beat around the bush led us on and was just horrible to work with. We were building new construction and it was about a month and a half out from our closing date when we had had enough of the old company. At that time we reached out to the Leaman team and they took care of everything. They were able to get us approved in a very timely fashion and we didn’t even have to push our closing back at all. They are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly I would recommend them to anybody I know.
Max Leaman and his team made the mortgage lending process as painless as this process can be.
